SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WBAY) – Sheboygan police are asking for five criminal charges against a 14-year-old boy suspected of burglary, including one count of burglary while armed.

Sheboygan police say three garages were burglarized this week in the Ellis Historic and Near North neighborhoods. In one case the burglar was confronted in a garage by a witness, who says the boy was armed with a steak knife. The teen ran off.

A school resource officer recognized the suspect’s description, and an investigating officer went to the boy’s house. Police say he confessed.

They’re seeking two counts of burglary, one count of burglary while armed, and two counts of theft of movable property.

The boy was put in the juvenile jail and awaits a decision on charges from the District Attorney’s office.
