APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) – Students who want to go to Fox Valley Technical College now have more time to sign up for a chance to get free tuition and books.

The deadline for the FVTC Promise Scholarship program is pushed back to December 15, two weeks later than the original deadline

The college’s foundation is trying to raise $1 million in five years to pay for 3,000 students’ books and tuition. In the first three months, the campaign has raised $415,000.

Nearly 700 students have filled out an interest form. To qualify, students have to go through the financial aid process.

The school is expected to determine who qualifies in mid-semester next year.
