Green Bay (WBAY) – According to WBAY sports reporter Kaitlin Sharkey, the Packers have signed quarterback Joe Callahan to its practice squad. Callahan was released by the Cleveland Browns on Monday after spending a month on the team’s active roster.
Callahan made the Packers roster after an impressive preseason. In four games he completed 61 percent of his passes, throwing for 499 yards with 3 touchdowns and no interceptions. Callahan was released by the Packers on October 13 to make room for a defensive player and claimed off waivers by the New Orleans Saints a day later. He was then waived by the Saints after a week and signed by the Browns two days later.
